6. How to address transferable skill sets.

Career Strategies for Employed Career Climbers™
2:00-4:00PM. Topics to be covered are:
1. How to develop current career paths to further growth opportunities.
2. How to avoid/extricate self from traps such as: political land mines, expropriation of your successes, being too good to promote, etc.
3. Addressing “specialist” vs. “generalist”–What is the best mixture?
4. How to turbocharge your advancement.
5. Best practices for: looking internally/externally for the next opportunity, working with recruiters, etc.
6. How to make sure the next job delivers: compensation and other important job changing conversations.

Career Stategies for Unemployed, Underemployed, and Those Changing Careers™
11:00AM-1:00PM. Topics to be covered are:
1. Best practices in defining the scope of the career or job search.
2. How to develop leads.
3. How to get an interview.
4. How to avoid interview pitfalls like employment gaps, job hopping, and other special situations.
5. How to have conversations about compensation.
6. What to do if offered the less than an ideal job or how to move your career forward if one already works in a less than ideal position.

All attendees will receive Kathy’s book, Graham’s Manual of Style for Resumes and Cover Letters.
